<div class="IPBDescription">Omgz!</div>Well, nobody else has posted a topic on this yet, so I might as well be the first.  I have to say, everything looks AWESOME!  The new HUD is absolutely gorgeous and fits the marine theme very well, I can't wait to see what you do with the aliens if they're any different.  The new progress indicators are absolute genius and the maps look great, love the fog in the third shot.
Minor thing though, I notice you're using a CS-like weapon system where your primary weapon is number 1, secondary is number 2, etc.  Personally I don't like this as I've been preconditioned since DOOM into thinking that 1 should be your weakest weapon, then 2, and so on up to 18 or whatever.  <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->  I can see why you'd want to keep it, though, as the marines are more CS-like than the aliens.  It's something to consider, although I'm sure you can't please everyone.  Anyway, keep up the good work <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Wow...
    Everything just looks so polished and well done that is it scary. The hud is a nice blue that fits prerfect with the marines and as said before, the new way of seeing building progress is great. I cant wait to see what you did with the models <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    Word 'em up, Relic!  He did a bang-up job on the new UI and indicators, and you haven't even seen them all yet.  There are now some great icons for each icon in the tech tree as well.  Nice work everyone.

    As far as weapon ordering goes, I feel your pain.  I tried the number scheme you suggested, but it felt too weird after playing CS.  I couldn't get used to it.  I think NS' audience will be largely comprised of the CS audience. so I think the marines need to follow those conventions.

    I agree, the weapon order from CS suits the marines well as there number 1 gun should be uh... number 1? yeah anyways.... lol Great looking shots, lvl 4 will own all.

    What can I say, I'm old-school.  I'm preconditioned to hit "3" as my go-to weapon.  Maybe I'll just remap it!  Wait, that would confuse the hell out of me.  Umm, any chance of 2 interface options?  Classic HL and CS?  Dunno how doable that is.

    Well, I never played CS more than an hour in my life, so I have been severaly screwed up over selecting #1 as a primary weapons, I am usually hitting 3 or 4 ala HL/TFC. <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->

    well what you should do is write scripts for buttons closer to your fingers anyways, my capslock pulls my primary weapon and my q pulls my secondary weapon and bla bla, I wrote the script so it automatically pulls the weapon too, not very hard to do.

    Those screenies look amazing, I can't wait a second longer to play NS. I love that building progress meter on the ground surounding the turrent.

    Does that little radar looking thingi near the top left of the marine's minimap do anything?

    The blue dude in the circle is a marine waypoint... it's what you see when your commander asks you to move somewhere.

    These screens make we want to forsake the Swarm and join up with the TSA... the idea of a squad of FPSers working together because of direction from a commanding officer... it's almost too good to be true!  Flayra, this is magic.

    On that one free-roaming mode shot, whats the yellow circle thing on the right on the screen?  Love the new HUD.  How 'bout a shot from commander mode of alien buildings/intense combat.  Please?  PLEASE??  PLEASE?!?!?!?!

    Oh my god those screens are so awesome. The fog is awesome. And blinky is sweet, its gunna be scary as hell to walk up to open a door and before you can open it that big hulking sack of flesh teleports in front of you. I can't wait.

    please say it ain't so the CS community is by far the worst of any game is the #1 reason i hear that people don't play it.

    CS people aren't just hard-core gamers who love to win, and will do about anything to do it(cheat mostly).  But that shouldn't be too much of a problem.  Most of my friends are very diverse in the mods we play.  SI, CS, VS, WW, PVK, DOD...
