I've run into somewhat of a snag with the positioning of the HMG. For some reason the model goes in the wrong direction, as you can see from the pic. Is anyone able to tell me how I can correct this problem? I'd like to have the HMG sort of looking like it was attached to the side of the arm, sort of as an extension of the arm.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. Did anyone ever release fixed smartgun animations for when the marines jump or use the jetpack? Or a muzzle-flash fix or anything?

eg. Im dod I replaced a knife with fists. For the pee model, the guy who made it just made an "invisible" knife so that when the player model did a stab animation it would look kinda like a punch since the hand was empty. The only problem I can think of is muzzleflashes.
I attached my fists p model so you can open it in HLMV to see what I mean.
Are you talking about repositioning it in a smd from a decompiled heavy.mdl file or a decompiled p_hmg.mdl file?
or if its like that (the gun is aimed to the side and held like a club) for all gun models then it could be something to do with the bones on your model
The skeleton is fine. The p model was positioned differently so that is the problem.
I am open to this idea but I'm not sure what I would use for the vmodel.
the flamer can be used for the welder.. and the laser for the lmg
the rocket launcher..hmm... just let the rocket launcher showing up when the grenmade launcher is your active weapon.. for the hmg model just hide him..
you can show a active hmg with rorating minigun barrels
oh btw..the models are mirrored... u have to mrror them back before working with them
However, since Daph's model only has one of the ALICE's arms, the components of all the marine weapons have to be present in one arm. I would suggest having the LMG barrel at the top, one of the minigun barrels just under it, the torch under that and the grenade launcher on top of it all, while the shotgun is on the bottom, where the pump action is accessible. The pistol and knife would be held by the left hand. The pistol reload would have the left hand go down, out of sight, where it presumably has a quick-reload thing that has pistol clips available to just jam the pistol down on.
Reloading could be achieved by having the clips for the various weapons be removeable. The HMG clip, for example, could be like an MG34's clip [a drum plugged in to the side], the LMG clip could be just above it, the grenade clip could be a rotatary drum on the top of the arm and the shotgun shells could go in like on a normal shotgun. Wouldn't that be great?
edit AAArrhh.. no.. the q2 assault shotty barrels (only bigger ) would be much cooler

ok...the texture of the statusdisplay is very blurry... i used the original texture.. i would love it to make a high res version...with lcd?s.. led?s and lotso gimmicks <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
maybe someone can replace the barrels with sixshooters minigun
