Any accessible information about hull integrity could be useful indeed.
And there should be some kind of tooltip or clear information/message in the PDA to help the player understand that depth acts as a multiplier on hull integrity negative changes.
It would help building without just flooding the base when it's becoming too weak.
Unless that design is intentional.
