Save missing + textures

Hello,
So I usually play on hardcore more and no gamecrashing issues so far, however I did notice that I can see my base from a really (and I mean really) long distance as well as the front of the Aurora. I kind of "shines" through the textures.
The other "problems" that I have are:
1) Today after using one of the portals from the Alien Thermal Plan I dont know what happened but, somehow I fell while "porting" and mysteriously died. (after more than 15 hours of play that does kinda make you re-think the way you play) so I did just that.. and..
2) After starting the game on "normal" mode, where death doesnt really matter, I played for another 3-4 hours and after quiting the game and comming back to it, to my horror I noticed that the save doesnt exist. And no, the game did not crash, and yes there was a "saving game" while I was ending the game. So what the heck happened? Can you actually play on "normal" mode? I did notice this issue a few months ago, but hoped it would be fixed in the future patches, so far nothing.. So I am assuming I am doing something wrong? Maybe?

I've had the teleport fall too, didn't seem like it was going to stop( survival mode, so it didn't destroy my save).
Survival mode has always worked for me. Check if your save folder has anything in it.
