What do you think of the Cyclops' floodlight rays?

I find the rays from the Cyclops' external lights to washout many details in the dark. While they illuminate surfaces up close fine, I find I can no longer make out far away details I was able to. The Seamoth and Prawn's lights don't give me that problem. So I end up using them in only absolute to very dark conditions.
Would actually be cool to have other vision modes like thermal and night vision. Hint, hint, devs

but seriously the lights suck. they need a huge buff.

I still think they need to be brighter, as seen in that second image. Even if it's at the cost of widening your aggro radius.
