[BUG] Entering The Seamoth From An Unpowered Moonpool F#&$s Up Your Game (stable 53518)

..... this is one of those bugs where there's no real better way to put it. Fortunately it's reproducable, so if anyone wants to see what happens, they can try it.
Procedure:
Step 1: Build Moonpool. Make sure it's unattached to any power sources (0/0 power).
Step 2: Bring Seamoth into the Moonpool. It will not automatically grab you, so you need to maneuvar it as close to the ladder as possible.
Step 3: Exit Seamoth normally. So far so good.
Step 4: Enter unpowered base/Moonpool so you have the power warning.
Step 5: Move to the edge of the Moonpool, while still in the base, and enter the Seamoth. This needs to be done from inside the base; if you fall into the water while trying to enter, you need to bring the Seamoth closer to the ladder/edge.
You will proceed to go through the 'entering the Seamoth' graphics, but you will be in the Seamoth, with the base power still above you and the controls/visuals slightly wonky. I know 'slightly wonky' isn't a great descriptor, but I can't explain exactly why they feel weird.
However, the biggest bug(s) happen(s) on trying to *exit* your Seamoth from here.
1) It instantly blows up.
2) The game doesn't know whether you're in a base or in the water.... or both.
I've tried this a few times, and had multiple things happen. From just plain crashing the game, to throwing me off a cliff and dying from falling damage (while underwater), to landing on the sea floor and walking around as if I was on the earth (including not being able to swim; I would jump instead) but still with oxygen going down and no way to replenish it.
I suspect the same bug would happen with the PRAWN suit, but it would be almost impossible to get the PRAWN into a place where you could enter from the Moonpool in the same way, I think.

I'll send you a PM and you can edit your OP to include the YT link.
Just shoot me a message if you'd like me to go for it. And don't worry if it takes me some time to respond, I'll be keeping an eye out.
@Kurasu are you interested in upgrading (if it's a desktop)? A lot of older computers can be upgraded to decent specs for chump change nowadays (depending on the architecture etc). We already had one guy upgrade his CPU from an underpowered single-core that couldn't run Subnautica to a quad-core for $30.
If you're interested, post your specs (use Speccy or one of the other tools in my signature, just need to know what you've currently got, and what model motherboard you have)
@000_Tragic_Solitude:
Sure! That sounds like a great plan, if you could do that. It'd be appreciated. I really wish I could do it because to be honest, it was hilarious to see (I tried it multiple times to make sure it was reproducable).
@0x6A7232:
Yes and no. Yes, I'm *extremely* interested in upgrading. I'm pretty close to it; mostly what it needs is a better graphics card and maybe a little more oomph (although that would only be to help speed up loading times). However at the moment, the husband and I are struggling with trying to save up for residency costs, and 'Live In Canada' kind of trumps 'Play Prettier Games' just now.
The one place it's below the minimums is the graphics card (NVIDIA 720, when I need a 760 I think).
Thanks to @000_Tragic_Solitude for the work (and the better computer!).
This is a wonky one.
My general idea is that when you enter the Seamoth from inside the unpowered Moonpool, the game doesn't register that you've left the base. Mostly because you'll always hear the base walking sound when going along the sea floor or just anywhere the bug sends you. The bug starts the instant you enter the Seamoth from inside the unpowered Moonpool. (As you can freelook around the Seamoth, which was pretty neat tbh.) And can probably (maybe) be resolved if you dock into a powered one. How you would do that, I don't know. But that's just a theory...A GAME THEO--sorry
And sorry about the white balance in that video, NO idea why Vegas borked it up that bad.
Also, more shenanigans:
THIS ONE TRICK HAS ALL THE DEVS RAGING!
FIND OUT HOW ANY PLAYER CAN GET INTO THE ILZ FAST!
And just like that, you instantly became about 100x cooler to me.
Confirmed that it will resolve the issue (if you somehow manage to get bugged).
I tested this out in the following way.
I removed all the power plants from my base (0/0 power), but kept the materials for the plant in my inventory.
I got in my ship and piloted it into the moonpool.
I exited and rebuilt the power plant, then powered it up (note: it did not automatically grab the ship in the moonpool)
I entered the ship from the moonpool, 'activating' the bug.
I swam up a bit, and the moonpool grabbed the ship as normal. When I exited, everything was back to normal, including swimming around, re-entering the ship, et cetera.
Of course, if you don't *have* a powered moonpool on hand to paddle your way to, you're SOL.
Everything happened so fast that unfortunate I didn't record at the time this happening.
This time I'm in PRAWN suit ready to duck at powered moonpool. Just about to get sucked up by the moonpool magnet then Garryfish swim across me like colliding me, then I hear an explosion and fly so fast across the ocean like The Flash, now I dunno where I was assuming lost sign of Aurora, then everything glitches out even main menu including F1, F3, F8 etc..
I'm a sole survivor desperately seek to cure the bacterial virus.. but the glitch is what killed me.
Here's vid after shits going haywire
It was ugly, just lost my latest save file.
I'll test something out to see if that's a random happenstance or is caused by unexpected physics when colliding with an object between you and the Moonpool.
Edit: Not able to actually reproduce it myself, but you still might wanna create a new thread for it and follow the steps listed in the "How to post a bug report" thread, so the devs can get all the relevant info.
I hope I can replicate the same event but no avail.
