I know almost everybody here has seen this sequence multiple times. And I know many of seen it at night. But how many have seen it at night from the highest point on the map?
That wasn't even planned. I did everything at the gun like usual and decided to go ahead to the floater island to pick up some lantern fruit. I popped through the warp gate and went up to the base. With 9 minutes left on the countdown I decided to see if I could climb all the way to the top. Then I sat there for 9 minutes waiting to see if I could actually see anything from there. Turns out you can. I did, however, use the save cheat to get these screenshots. I wasn't expecting anything, so I wasn't ready to take pictures. And I didn't have it framed correctly. So I quit the game and came back to get these shots. Well worth the effort, I think.
