I have noticed in the past that Foundations obviously have to be built on terrain, and you can extend off horizontally, even if the platforms logically shouldn't stay in place when it's 20 Foundations wide with no support struts. What's even worse is, you can deconstruct the ones on the terrain, and the Foundations and/or Seabase will stay suspended indefinitely.
Another amusing trick is to build Foundations on top of each other; if you stack them up high enough and deconstruct the lower ones, you can build Seabases that are suspended in thin air. I know it's a lot to ask for something so trivial, but there should be some form of 'logic system' in place to prevent oddities like that.

It may be that you need to build foundations on terrain. But I would want to clarify the definition of "on terrain" to be maybe 30-40 feet above the terrain. I find you can build foundations around that far above the ocean floor, and the legs will extend down to the sea floor.

Yeah, if you construct a Foundation above terrain with nothing in between, you can only go so high (maybe 10 meters) before the wireframe turns red. Also the support struts will appear and be drawn normally. But what I meant was building Foundations directly on top of each other - the first ones will attempt to have legs, but after a couple you’ll get bare foundations. And you can keep building upwards and outwards over the ocean, with seemingly no support or means for the Foundations to hover like that.
Again I'm not finding fault or anything, but it is kind of weird to see that happen in Subnautica. It's not something practical or necessary to fix, but maybe adding little bubble jet animations at the corners of the underside of Foundations could help handwave this peculiarity.
Hey sorry to comment on your post here, but I really need help to try and fix my game. The game thinks I am in the base I started making but my character is constantly falling into oblivion... With unlimited stats and I'm in survival. I believe I've ran into a game breaking bug. At first, I thought I could fix it but everything I tried only made it sooo much worse...

Not only is hijacking a thread not going to put you in contact with other people who may have the same problem, it's also poor etiquette. You should really start your own post and include which build you're on. There's a pinned how-to bug reporting post to get you started.

LOL-- I meant they should start their own thread. This is why I shouldn't do anything before coffee.
Even so, unless it's been relaxed, there's an anti-spam filter in place that prevents users from making new threads until they've made a post and waited 24 hours after account creation.

Have a look at the warp commands available in the Debug Console: http://subnautica.wikia.com/wiki/Debug_Console_Commands#Teleports
