He "looks" with a pair of God-given eyes (or about a trillion years of evolution give or take, YMMV) and seas nothing but hostile environments and man-eating creatures that abound.
This all begs one question: what product does he use for his hair?? Neither helmet-head nor soaking does anything to it!
Considering the survivor from Lifepod 5 is in a survival situation on a planet for well over a year, I suspect either ties it at the back of the neck or braids it and sticks the hair inside whatever suit is being worn. Or considering there's no fresh water to wash out the salt, uses the Laser Cutter to burn it short.
Something that bothers me when you see your PC shadow when wearing the rad suit helmet and rebreather is that the characters hair is still visible instead of the character shadow changing to one wearing a helmet.
I'd just like to point out that apparently in the Subnautica Universe, it IS possible to connect More Than One O2 tank to the characters regulator, without having to "switch" them out.
