For the past couple weeks in my Jewelry class, I've been working on a Peeper made out of Nickel-Silver and Brass, with 7 layers all soldered together. The main body and pupil of the eye is made from 16, 18 and 22 gauge NiS, while the iris part of the eye is 20 gauge Brass. My original design had 5 layers, but after noticing that 2 extra body layers would look a lot more realistic, and add more detail. Unfortunately, the eyes do sit just a little low, but it's a bit too late for that.
The little guy measures 1 5/8" (41.275mm) from beak to back fin, and just under 1 1/2" (38.1mm) from dorsal to pelvic fins, and .275" (6.985mm) thick from each side of the pupils.
