Spot Light (SL) Malfunction

I built an SL on my base in the Lost River.
A river predator is meters away from the SL but not being tracked.
The SL beam is not tracking the sweep of the SL but is stationary.
Thanks for fixing the power consumption.

    Is it an old spotlight (you've had it through an update or two?). Try deconstructing / reconstructing if so.

    I dismantled the spot lights months ago as soon as I saw the power usage curve.
    So ya, I just thought I'd build one just see 'wat hallepn'.
    I watched the power in the base for several minutes.
    Every 5 seconds or so the power would drop 1 unit for a half second then return to max rated.
