[Bug][Steam Link] Escape Menu/UI Game Breaker[45367]

Submitting here because the in game bug reporter's character limit was too short to adequately explain.
Description: When using Steam Link I can start games and mouse look around with my character just fine. The second I open inventory or the escape menu (or any UI menu) it gets me stuck. The mouse cursor will appear to function as it normally would in these menus, but clicking on any options won't do anything. I can see the UI buttons light up when I click them.
I can also continue to walk and strafe around without mouse look, but the UI menus remain floating in their original place in the game world. I cannot hit escape again to get out of this menu.
Below you can see I have walked a bit away from the "escape menu" after I invoked it.
