Air Upgrade Ideas

Currently, the upgraded air tanks are great. Obviously I use the extra air capacity versions, usually carrying 2 to 4 of them depending on my dive time requirements to explore wrecks and areas (such as cave tunnel systems) not otherwise suitable for a vehicle. This however takes up a huge amount of space in the inventory, especially when you are scanning a lot of items in wrecks that have multiple levels and rooms which give resources should you already have the blueprints. Between that and the constant requirement to rush back to the Seamoth/Cyclops/Prawn for a refill on air, it makes exploring some of the wrecks extremely tedious, sometimes deadly.
Perhaps the air tanks could be upgraded further using liquid oxygen ( perhaps found on the Aurora) or precursor knowledge? Or give the rebreather an upgradable option to increase efficiency of recycled air?
Another idea is to make the Seamoth/Cyclops/Prawn capable of providing extended air, when needed, via an upgrade module that uses an extendable air hose. Perhaps this can be implemented by allowing it to drain the battery incrementally when used since it would require a small amount of power to do so just as when you're using the vehicle anyway? An upgrade module for the Seaglider to provide this extra air (say taking oxygen from the water, covering it to breathable air) as well, at the cost of battery life, of course, would be nice.

This should be an endgame thing, though.
