subnautica wont launch

in Subnautica Bug Reporting
when i try to launch the game the screen goes black and i get a windows notification of either "subnautica.exe is not responding" or "subnautica.exe has stopped working". i have reinstalled the game several times and verified the integrity of the files many times as well but with no luck.

    What happens if you force it to run in d3d9?

    If that doesn't help, post a dxdiag report. Click the start button, click the search programs, type dxdiag.exe

    Post this ▲ (click "Save All Information...") and also your Subnautica_Data\output_log.txt file.
