Moth sacrifice for better frame rates?

XBOX1S; Can sacrifing the Seathmoth result in improving your frame rate per second (FRS)? lt did for me. I am 6+ days into a survival game. In the last 2 days the drop in FRS has made the game unplayable. I just recalled that an SN PC player (some months ago 6?) drove his moth far to the East left it and built another. He reported a vast improvement in FRS. I just let a Reaper destroy mine and built another as well. I am very happy with FRS. Enjoy!

Really all you have to do is remove all upgrades and drive it below 200m.

The other thing to keep in mind is I guess sometimes the Seamoth / PRAWN storage module can get bugged, to test if that's the case, stick it in a locker in your base (as it actually supposedly causes lag even if the player is carrying it).

XB1S; Forgot about depth limit, thanks. I did remove depth, storage, solar and EMP into a locker before the Reaper killed the Moth and moved them to the new sub. Next game I'll try removing the storage module. Thanks again.

Not sure if you care at all, but for the sake of helping you when you try talking about it to others, it's referred to as "FPS" (Frames Per Second). You were very close.
For reference, most consider 30FPS passable and 60FPS is good.

Now is that FPS or FPS?

    I get confused these days....

XB1S; I think that it is Frames per second (FPS). Anyway, I just love this game. Shot Out; Splash Over. My Father was in an Army Reserve Arty Bat in the late 40's. Yes, I'm that old.
