PSA: After the Coffee and Castles update, you may want to clear your cache (see inside)

Directions are in the first line of my signature below. ▼ Reason: Sometimes updates don't take all the way for whatever reason, leaving you with old assets, that have all of the old issues, as well as missing out on new game content. Worth a shot anyways.

I have become accustomed after each update to clear the cache.
There are too many side effects with old content in the savegames.
I already build so that after an update my base may not be in a mountain.

I just delete my old savefolders completely and start over fresh with each new update. That way I don't have any lingering issues, and if any performance problems crop up then I know it's a new issue than a possibility of old data affecting the game.

On a side note, I love how the pacing of the game has changed now. I put 12 hours into a new save file yesterday, and I always had something 'new' to do or some matter of story to progress on; and I'm just now at the point of starting my new base in the Grand Reef. Also the changes to the SeaGlide mean I'm actually using it in addition to my Seamoth, it's so nice now!

My only complaint is that I still can't find Water Filtration Machine fragments, and I've only found 1 Power Cell fragment in the Sparse Reef. These were issues from Oct and Dec updates, I wish I knew where to unlock them without console commands.

Power cell fragment? You don't need fragments to create power cells. Or are you meaning power cell charger?
