Hi folks,
I'm about 10hrs into the game (just got PRAWN blueprints and am super excited). It's been running smoothly.
I'm used to the game "hanging" for a moment as I travel around, presumably as new areas are loaded. However, this "hanging" behaviour has unexpectedly become more frequent, and now leads to full-blown CTDs. I can no longer play the game for more than 2 mins!
I updated my drivers, checked Win Update, verified game cache, and finally reinstalled the game. No changes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
tl;dr: played smoothly for 10+ hrs, now "hangs" and crashes to desktop within a couple minutes of loading the game.

Okay, I followed the linked video tutorial for clearing the game's cache, and I haven't experienced a crash since. Unfortunately, at around the same time I also sacrificed some blood to the Blood God, so we'll never know for sure which solution worked.
Safe money's on the Blood God.
