Crashing near the mountain island

Was just trying to get to the koosh zone and as I got near the mountain island I would start freezing up, eventually crashing.

Clearing the cache does not help. Not in this case!
It looks like a "real" bug in the game.

Try verifying the game local files?

I have already done this
I believe it is in this: "global-objects.bin" or/and "scene-objects.bin"

edit:
I start a new game and I can swim to the mountain island without any problems.
Also I can discover the mountain island with this brand new save.
