"Funny" bug in wreck: Infinite doors

In the wreck around the Grand Reef (the one with the Scanner Room fragment), I opened the first door without issue. The game glitched out a bit when I tried to cut open another door, resetting progress then quickly catching up - I figured it was due to boxes getting in the way of the animation, but it might be relevant to the actual bug. When I tried to get out, the door still open... but a new door was in the doorway. If I opened it, the animation would play... but a door would still stay in the doorway. Again, and again, and again, Looney tune "infinite door" style.

The other openable door in this hallway behaved the same way: first time worked, could get through, but when I faced back, the door was in that glitched "closed/open" state. I finally managed to keep it open after "opening" it 5-6 times.

I still died from lack of air, and when I made my way back to the wreck, it vanished in a rain of scanner/thermal plan fragment .o_O'


This might be the funniest, weirdest, deadliest bug I ever encountered in any game.

Sorry for not having any screenshot or logs - I tried to submit a report through F8, but I ended up with a red "Maintenance platform is down" alertbox.

I've seen this symptom on that wreck and another on the grassy plains. I was fortunate, the door didn't "seal up" behind me, I just had to cut through it six or seven times. Also, in the grand reef wreck, multiple instances of the fragments existed, so it looked like I was scanning the same thing over and over again. I would like to have seen your "fragment rain" Mine was a new-ish world, created in the last week or so. Version 40062.

I've had wrecks seal behind me as well, just once, I can't remember what version, but probably back before I switched to experimental, so probably 40062 or maybe earlier. I haven't had a duped wreck on experimental in a while though, so here's hoping they fixed it!
