Missing Abandoned base

I was exploring the deep grand reef and I can't seem to find the abandoned base there and I am using the latest Experimental version, I can't even seem to find the alien artifact to unlock the field separating the cannon from the lower level is this opn purpose or do I need to reinstall the game?
