Net Deployable: lower blood pressure from trying to fish

I run a standard PC, no extra GPUs, experience low FPS. This makes trying to track Peepers with my crosshair an absolute nightmare that ends up with lots of shed tears and abnormally high blood pressure. And sometimes yelling.

Please make a net (Silicone Rubber, Fiber Mesh?) deployable -- not only would it be incredibly useful, it's also extremely realistic given the survival scenario. And I don't want to die of a heart attack after not clicking fast enough while wildly waving my mouse across my desk in attempt to catch fish. It's a small request but it means my life to me... literally.

I'd like a small sailboat. Seats one with 8-10 units of storage. Slightly faster than swimming, but slower than any other type of vehicular travel. Maybe even a small gravity anchor for maintaining position once you've reached your favorite fishing hole.
It would be neat to find the sailboat wreckage in a small isolated cove on the floating island, and be able to build it after you've scanned it.
It serves no practical purpose, just a bit of leisure fun and fishing.
P.S. Though... once you implement fishing you also have to implement drinking, right?
I wonder if you can change the water filtration machine into a still? Fermented Marblemelon juice would really hit the spot during a nice relaxing afternoon of fishin'. How 'bout Lantern fruit wine?

When it comes to Peepers I usually either try and grab them at night when they're more likely to be less active, or I deploy a Gravsphere - which keeps them from leading me on a merry chase across the Shallows or even worse into the Kelp Forests.

If all else fails, I just grab Garryfish or Spadefish, who aren't as quick to flee. Hoverfish are excellent choices too.

Try clearing your cache, see my sig. Run Subnautica from an SSD if you have one, also in my sig. That will help a little with your framerate issues.

The gravsphere is basically a net, although you still have to do some chasing. I would find it a fair update if picking it up would automatically put the fish(es) in your inventory.

It also would be nice if we could make fish food (bunch of floating chips) to lure fishes nearby the gravsphere or, if we hold still, nearby ourselves for easy grabbing. Then it'd be up to the player what fishing technique to use.

Nets I can almost assure you are never ever ever going to happen. The devs of Ark Survival Evolved got lots of requests for nets, and finally they had to blow it up with "Nets are nearly impossible to code and make look nice"

    So no nets.

I would suggest using a Gravsphere.

Though personally I still want a speargun.

I remember the most beautiful feeling was right after I got the stasis rifle and fired a ~20 meter stasis sphere at a ~.5 meter Peeper. Yeah, even sans-speargun, catching fish really does get better late-game.

TBH... It is a rather odd thing to NOT have fishing in a game based on waterstuffs and scubaing around the world, net/spear/fishingpole fishing...

Fishing is usually done from above the water. 99% of the game takes place under it.
