Can't Find Moon Pool Fragments?

I started a new game when the new update came out for Subnautica that added improved VR support (I Never Want To Bother With VR) and I was trying to find the moon pool so that I could charge my seamoth as the cyclops is something I want later down the road. When I tried to actually find it near the entrance near the grand reef, I just found a bunch of fragments that should not be there. They apparently changed it so that you can only find these parts in wrecks now but my seamoth can barely reach 225 meters so I can not get to the grand reef wreck or the kelp forest wreck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
