64bit version?

Hey,
I'm (trying to) running the game under linux and as so many other ppl, it just crashes.

So after debugging and searching the web, the problem is: it just runs out of memory...

Which is limit to 4gb for 32bit apps (although you have 16 GB installed...)

So I was wondering about plans for 64bit?

Hopefully the next version should help with the memory issues. Currently there is no 64 bit version. And, it would not really be the solution anyway, the game is not supposed to use 4GB in the first place

The new build should be out in the next couple of days.

Well, if there was nothing done in this regard this won't help much...

Anyways, to be fair the huge memory consumption is in part also due to the (open) mesa drivers. The mesa developers are working on this. So we'll see...

Hey Fana. The memory issues on Linux appear to have been fixed in our internal testing, so we'll be pushing this out in our weekly build early this week.

64bit would be nice, but a big undertaking. We're looking at it however, to see if it's actually feasible. Cheers!
