Hi there. We don't support any MacOS earlier than OS X 10.9 Mavericks, as per the Steam System Requirements page. Please be sure you're Macs are both running the latest version of MacOS, as they include newer drivers and OpenGL support for your hardware. MacOSX upgrades are FREE with your Mac via iTunes/App Store.

Once you're at the minimum OS standard, if you still crash we can look at the logs.

Ok not and kinda not in a position to upgrade, (long story involving kids and admin rights)

Anything you/anyone can do/suggest to fix the problem?

As I mentioned before the earlier versions work and this one DOES work, just loading the window fails.

Also this is UNITY not Steam, this game is not really affected by steam so it doesn't always apply.

Your game is a standalone, meaning it doesn't require other apps to run besides I think Unity. Which I have, the latest version.

Beyond that you could be right, after all I'm not an expert.

still if theres any thing in the game itself or anything that could help I would be happy to have it fixed.

Until then I have to play the older versions, which is not that bad.

    Thanks :)

Hi again. The Steam system requirements, are the game system requirements. Unity is the engine we build Subnautica on, you dont download Unity like Flash. Subnautica uses a particular version of Unity. We get the Unity engine to make builds which are compatible with Mac OSX 10.9 Mavericks as a minimum as that version of OSX has features which can help Unity make the game run better, prettier and faster.

I think you've been lucky to have it work on older versions of OSX, as we have not officially supported the game to work on that older OS.

I assume you're running the Experimental version in the Steam Beta, and not the regular public version?

Actually I am just happy to be able to play it so I am happy, would LOVE to play with the pictures though.
Besides that is a good reminder ^(Be happy …)^.

Actually running stable, public, non-experimental versions. But I see better now about the Unity thing.
