Creatures and functions of floater islands?

I love exploring the floater islands and checking out all the plants, but I'm a little disappointed that there aren't animals creatures on it yet or any plants that you can collect/analyse. If there were to be land-based creatures in the game, what would you want to see?
In my perosnal opinion, I think a bigger, main island at the corner of the map would give us a little more variety in terms of gameplay. Don't get me wrong, Subnautica is a beautiful game, but there are times I wish for a change of scenery. Plus, this opens the door to a whole range of new vehicles, base structures, creatures, plants, story elements and other game features that would make Subnautica much more interesting and immersive. In terms of creatures, a land-based leviathan would be terrific and creatures that resembled earth's birds, bugs, cows and lions might add some spice.

I want this:
I realise this, but it's a shame that the island is a little smaller than expected. Then again, I'm grateful for it, so I shouldn't complain. I would just like it to play a bigger role and hold more history rather than being just a pretty place to visit.
That's a nice idea. But, maybe something similar to the design of the seamoth (with added wheels) would be more appropriate, given that the island isn't that big.
well... not really because we figured out that based on the depth and weather also the evolution of land based life form. It was determined that we are most likely in a sea on a Pangaea like super continent but one smaller then the one that existed on earth. We crash landed in an archipelago region of a water world which would explain the weather, currents, depths, and the land base life.
Simply put the planet is mostly ocean but a sizable portion of it is out of the water, and we are in a sea on a coastal shelf or near a lot of islands also on a coastal shelf.
Well, by IvanKeska's knowledge, a tank would be suitable for this Pangaea-like continent. Though, I doubt the game could house something that big. Then again, it would bolster my idea of having a larger island (maybe similar to Australia?) where more features that enhanced gameplay could be hidden.
I just suggest Australia because I'm Australian.
If that were true, then there would be extreme waves and currents all the time that would kill us and destroy all that we built, so not likely.
And how do you know it's completely covered by water? Is there some official post you can link, or are you just assuming the planet is completely covered in water?
"No land" he says.
I mean fish is great and all but some times you just need a burger
