What about something like a giant isopod, but even more giant? A HUGE, shelled creature that just walks along the sea bottom very slowly, and is basically a biome unto itself. Not hostile, the only danger from it comes if you get run over. Perhaps one could harvest some of its shell and use it for something.
How about a super organism of protozoons that have some kind of swarm intelligence
That actually sounds like a really cool idea.
And, I have to agree, the Emperor and the Dragon currently don't really have any logical places to call home. I didn't mean for the Leviathans to be right away either. For the vast majority of the things I say, I mean for the extreme long-term.

All of my yes. Maybe the shell could be some kind of special material that you need the laser cutter to harvest, but it works at more than one thing (coral, disk plate, and titanium, perhaps). Consider it on the modeling list.
@The_Shark How long will it take to model your levi, approximately ?
I dunno... I've started work on a few parts (namely the teeth, eyes, scales, and fins). Even what I have is very subject to change, but that's what there is so far.
We need at least two other leviathans. One for the sky (based on the alien bird entity, but more complex; just type 'entgallery' into the console command box to see it) that will discourage players from thinking that the surface equals safety, and an amphibious leviathan (maybe similar to the puncher) that can walk on the seabed and walk on land (for the floater islands). I think these two additions would really emphasise the survival aspect of the game.
dude i would crap my pants if i came to the surface for oxygen and a giant sky leviathan came down and grabbed me then dragged me into the sky just to drop me so i can fall to my death or bring me to her nest were i can be eaten alive
a 3 meter eye O.O wow ^^ this thing will be big...
That's the plan.
It will be shaped like a big snake, but with fins and stuff. When opened to full size, the mouth will be thirty meters tall and just as wide. The larger teeth are bigger than people. The really freaky thing about the teeth is that there are two jaws. One is inside the other. The outer jaw, with the bigger teeth, has the job of slicing through anything and tearing off a chunk, then acting as a barrier to prevent losing the food. The inner jaws, with the smaller, barbed teeth, will then slice the prey to ribbons. The weird thing about the eye is that it has 18 of them: 17 on the forehead, and one on the chin.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I was thinking about a 'sky leviathan'. Kind of creepy that we both had the same idea. XD

I'm still throwing my money in with the Nuclear Leviathan.
Maybe not actually Godzilla, but definitely an homage.
>Huge, reptilian in appearance
>Has a deadly mouth beam attack
>Could give off harmful levels of radiation around it, turning the water sorta green, would live in an area with a bunch of dead plants and rotting fish skeletons, but plenty of Bleeders feeding on them.
Could call it the Fallout Biome. Radioactive chemicals in the area makes it inhospitable for most creatures, save for Bleeders and the Nuclear Leviathan.

Freaking bleeders...
Anyway, I have to agree. The Radiation Leviathan is pretty high on my list. I really like that idea.

Yeah, I've seen that picture. Freaky thing, isn't it? I'm working on the Primal Leviathan, somewhat basing it off of that weirdo.

Like a Roc or something.
Maybe you should go for a design similar to the leviathan of the movie Atlantis: the lost empire? In saying that, I love your initial design.
Thanks, I try. And... I might have to actually see that movie to know what you're talking about.
EDIT: Oh, so it's a giant lobster thing?
Yep. Imagine hearing its cry in a deep, expansive abyss. XD Maybe even in a new biome comprised of the skeletal remains of giant creatures?
Maybe a bigger version of the cyclops could be based of the ship in this movie? XD
Perhaps something like this? ;-)
well F%#$ me

He never said anything about a laser.
Think Godzilla's radiation breath.
