Making all items deconstructable and the power cells extractable.

Well it happened once, i accidentally built a current generator and so i did other times with other items, it would be cool if you could use the fabricator to also disassamble the items and return the raw materials in them.

Also due to a very unlucky happening...i ended up getting my life pod covered in radiation...and i'm not anywhere near the suit yet...it's not a problem because i already have another base, but still i would like to at least grab the cells of the pod and reuse them in my new base.

All that would have to be built is a recycling unit or something... Or if there is to be a refinery type of unit in the game in the future. Then you could just plop it in there and off it goes back to base materials. Just like in the space engineers game on steam.

Can't you just push your pod away from the radiated area? Especially now that you have the current generator, it's easy...

I thought you couldn't move the pod before the latest update?

If we use lasers to construct items, it means we have matter transmission technology. Why cant we break down items and store the matter in a drive of some sort? Personally id prefer that to dozens of lockers that tilt your cyclops to one side or the other.

I would prefer to have a different means of crafting than the weird laser-thingy. It seems unrealistic. I see no way of channeling enough energy to create matter like how it appears in the crafting animation through beams like that without it being a death star-like beam that can destroy an entire planet. And anyway, if you could convert energy to matter, why do you need specific ingredients? If you were crafting items by turning matter to energy and back, you should just be able to put a pound of sand in and come out with a pound of gold. if you are breaking it into energy, only the mass of ingredients matters, not their composition. I would prefer a crafting device that perhaps just has robot arms that assemble things. Or just a surface with some tools where the player can manually create things.
