MOTION BLUR IS EVIL

I can't seem to shoot ANYTHING! It's because of motion blur and (probably) my sensitivity. I will turn up my sensitivity until it fits, BUT THIS F****** MOTION BLUR. I lowered all my video settings for the game, and I still can't look around without being blinded...Any help?

Not sure what you mean, but NS2 has no motion blur...

When you take damage it does have sound muffling and it will make your surroundings a bit darker. And a while back it did have a vision blurring when using Celerity, which has been removed. But other than that it has no motion blur whatsoever...

Ambient Occlusion can cause severe mouselag though and has an appearance of motion blur from what I can see. I'd just leave that off regardless...

What I think of when I hear Motion Blur is if you took a picture and wiped across it to make is blurry. That is what happens when I move my mouse around to look around in Natural Selection 2. It is annoying. I can't shoot aliens because I can't see!

...to reiterate what Kouji_San said... there... is... no... motion......... blur.....

Can you post up a screenshot or a video of it? That would really help us get on the same page here.

Hmm, could it be that you're playing on an ancient TFT monitor or something, the old ones that ghost. Would be odd as I've not seen one in... Well about a decade...

    Just adding to this...

There is no motion blur in NS2. Max has not put it in the engine yet. Whatever you are seeing, it is not because of NS2.

YET????? Is this happening? Sorry to go OT for a sec, but I'd LOVE this! (as an OPTION of course...)

Back on topic, that'd require some crazy fps to mistake it for motion blur!

Low FPS looks more like a slideshow then anything resembling motion blur though :/

Do you have an AMD/Radeon card? Perhaps you need to enable reduce dvi frequency and alternate dvi operational mode to help with your display corruption issue

What drug were you on when you made this post NinjaDerpy? MDMA (or ecstasy) is known to give effects like the one you are describing.
