Why don't people save the power nodes for blackout?

    I feel like, attacking the power in the marine base is the stupidest thing you can do in any situation. Nonetheless everybody is doing it.

    2 Skulks can cause real havoc in the base when doing it right.
    Imagine the base is empty than my prioritizing is as follow:
    * IPs with respawning marines
    * active PGs
    * the OBs
    * the CC

    In most maps it is so damn easy to camp behind the CC and let the defending marine come to you. If he is there, just jump out and kill him.

    Thinking about it, since power surge attacking any power node is a newb-trap. You expose yourself without cover. It is a free building for the marines and it lies about its importance to end turtles.

    In fact, if it were actually a light switch (very low health = fast to destroy; fast to repair) without powering buildings it may lead to less turtles because the players then finally focus on the CC. On top of that, it would be easier usable as battlefield-modification. Mesta wouldn't need to go all apeshit because that newb killed his power node he prepared to 1% health. It would finally present the dynamic lighting of Spark much more often. And the damn unintuitive thing of "light in rooms without built powernode" could be fixed.

    People do that often. And the opisite. Build a node to 99 (as blueprint) and then build the rest of the stuff. That being so an alien cant damage it.
