The game previously worked fine with the new update, but I deleted it and reinstalled on a new device.(Just for the sake of being fresh.)
So fresh install, no mods. Can't join any server.
Can't even make my own...yeah. I try to join my own server...I get that my files don't match the servers...
I validated it via Steam, was 100%.
What gives?

I can create my own server now.
But I still can't play online. Just says Invalid files. Checking the log, nothing failed really, nothing weird. Tried a bunch of different ones.
Funny thing is, before I deleted the game and reinstalled, I was playing with mods on these very servers.
Open the console after being kicked, it will say what file failed consistency check, post it here.
After you get kicked, close the game, go to %appdata%/natural selection 2/ open log.txt and paste it in code here.
Said mods I have were fine before a total re-install, and it says it disables them when I try to join anyways.
First, go into Steam Workshop page of NS2, open your "Subscribed Items", and unsubscribe them.
Next, go to your "C:/Users/Mkilbride/AppData/Roaming/Natural Selection 2/Workshop/" folder, and empty it.
But also be sure to de activate any mods in your ingame mods menu first.
And then after you've done the above steps, disable steam cloud temporarily before opening NS2.
I did all the steps you guys mentioned above. Still no cigar.
P.S. Also consistency check doesn't do anything. It says that all the files are fine, but for some reason it helps for a little while when I do it. But I have to do it like 5 times a day when I play.
P.P.S. Sometimes I get this in the middle of the game but usually only when I'm joining a server.
Edit: One more
Prior to 250, and prior to uninstalling, this was never an issue.
Update your graphics chip drivers from Nvidia/AMD/Intel.
Then...
Disable all mods from within NS2 first, and unsubscribe from any in your Mods list.
Then.....
Delete NS2 from Steam. Then do a manual NS2 Cleanup (this is not done when Steam deletes NS2 from your Library) like follows:
1) Delete NS2 from Steam the normal way.
2) Go to C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming and Delete the 'Natural Selection 2' folder.
3) Go to your SteamApps\common Directory and make sure you delete 'natural selection 2'
4) Restart your PC (to be on the safe side)
5) Reinstall NS2 fresh from a new download.
Try those steps and report back.
