Sounds like an anti-aliasing issue. Set anti-aliasing to application controlled in your Nvdia or AMD control panel.

I'm thinking Alienware popups or overlays are causing this issue..
Hunt down and disable ANYTHING that could have an overlay or popup.. alienware bloatware is ripe with these things.
