The notification system is not "...really bad...". It needs to be tweaked to be more helpful.
    Let's not sugar coat it.

Other parts of the notification system work. One parts need for attention doesn't spoil the whole.

I'm not going to respond to everything else; it would literally take more energy than it's worth. Too much passion paraded as fact. Every game is different.

I do take your remarks literally, because taking them any other way would make this discussion with you pointless.

#1. Power nodes are almost always in a better spot to attack, since they are on the periphery of a given room.

You have a misconception here. The power node is nearly always in a bad spot for a skulk. Because you are exposed and can't watch your surroundings. You are a free kill for every marine that comes by. Being near the CC is not a problem. In fact, it gives you a huge cover. And if the com gets out you can kill him in most cases because he needs to get an overview in the first second he logs out. Killing the com will hurt the marine team even more.

And lastly, I have seen so many power node rushs or ninjas, that failed to do anything. Yes, you got that power down before the marine killed you. Now they have no power for 10-15 seconds in that base. But than they will simply have repaired it and have lost nothing. I would say, in nearly every case a skulk does a power node ninja, it has no consequences. If he would have targeted the Obs, he would have hurt the marines at least for 15 res.

Don't get me wrong. I don't say it is useless to target the power node. I only say, that if you are a lone skulk in the marine base, there are better targets most of the time. Heck, even attacking the CC in the early game before welders can have more effect. Have you ever tried shooting a skulk that whirls around a CC? It is somewhat difficult. Shooting a sitting duck on a power node is not.
