My settings:
EVERYTHING on low or off
Windowed 800x600

My results:
~20 fps or less



I don't even want my money back. I will just leave this company and their crap forever!

    This game is very CPU intensive, I'm not sure how the dev's/game have "cheated you" in this instance but what other new titles can you play with game settings on high on that rig?

    Seriously... your cheapass graphics card's "performance" is even below APUs.

    Please tell us what games run "just fine" on that ultra low end HTPC card?

    Please feel free to also write to Crytek, Activision and EA how you feel cheated, because EVERY modern FPS will result in a slide show on that setup...

    Although his PC is certainly not ideal, his specs do meet the minimum requirements - therefore its not out of line for him to expect the game to at least be playable on low settings. I know that the way his system must run.. its not playable at all.. UWE needs to raise the min requirements to keep people like this from buying the game thinking it will run fine.

    I think no modern FPS game will run fine when you meet the minimum requirements - it may run but it will be unenjoyable in most cases.

    a game will be enjoyable when you meet the optimal requirements, and it will run fine when your hardware tops them. but that's only my experience. =)

    Minimum system requirements are thrown in as a "in" joke by a lot of people within the industry.

    Minimum system requirements basically mean "Yeah, it'll load."

    I think a lot less people would complain if the minimum requirements were upped to a point where players could sit on 40+ fps all the time. Or at least, no one COULD complain.

    While we want NS2 to run on the widest range of hardware possible, there are limits to the feasibility of running a modern engine with modern game code on old or lower-end hardware. The Radeon 6450 is significantly less powerful than the minimum specification advertised on the Steam store (an 8600GT) and the Athlon 7850 generally underperforms the minimum specified CPU, a 2.6Ghz C2D.

    I'm very sorry the game does not run for you BlakkCooper, and of course we will continue to make the game run faster. Recently, we have been able to run the game on Intel HD 4000's at 1280 x 720 and hope to push this much further.

    well, i played it on the hd4000 for two weeks or so... was running between 50 and 20 fps

    but i ocd my cpu to 5 ghz ;)

    Yeah this game isn't really graphics intensive, that's for sure, It uses like a forth or less of my gtx 680. However, it's extremely CPU hungry.

    I think this thread has served its purpose, to sum it up, your computer is quite a bit below the minimum requirements so it is only logical it cannot run on more then 20FPS. You can't blame UWE for this, you have to take responsibility for this yourself as you haven't read the minimum system requirements...

    And as such, I'll go ahead and lock this one
