Babblers model is already in the game, you can view it in the viewer tool, it is number 2 in the concept C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\ns2\models\alien\babbler

I don't know, I actually really like it. Also, remember that there isn't a texture included so this clearly isn't the final version. They could use something totally different, who knows.

it's mouth kind of looks like a... yea. Except with teeth. Wonder how small their hitboxes will be as well as their AI movement. Nothing like being swarmed by these guys while the rest of the alien team is on you.

I'm hoping the babblers can use those spikes to attach to marines, and use the mouth to chew away once attached. It could be a fun mechanic, having to shoot the babblers off your friends, or use your axe to cut one off of yourself. It could potentially also be enough to make it so the gorge is less of a sitting duck. You'd have to choose whether or not to kill the gorge first or deal with the babbler, and if the gorge is smart he can run around his hydras so you'll keep taking damage from those. Combined with the blinding effect of gorge spit, it opens up the possibility of gorges finally being able to hold their own in a small defensive skirmish.
