Natural selection two crashes randomly and forces me to hard restart my computer.
The game freezes for 1 or 2 seconds, and then the entire screen turns black. Ctrl+alt+delete or any other keyboard shortcut does nothing.

My computer is completely unresponsive. The only way I can get back to windows is via a hard restart.

I have found no pattern to the crashes. It can happen on the menu, loading screen, and randomly in game play.

I have tried reinstalling all my drivers, as well as the game itself to no avail.

I read that disabling catalyst AI would solve the problem, the only change was that when the crash occurred my fans begun spinning much faster.

have also tried putting cpu and gpu back to stock clocks, no help.

I have also changed the settings to evey possible configuration.

System:
CPU: AMD Phenom 2 @3.7gh
GPU: AMD Radeon 6850 @ 920 Hz GPU clock, 1220 memory clock.
MOBO: Asus M4A88V-EVO/USB3
RAM: 8 GB

Check your temps of your CPU and GPU. Check for dust in your fans, sounds like your PC is overheating.
