So far I've shaved about a page worth of off-topic, bickering in this thread. If you don't have something constructive to provide to the topic at hand, don't even bother hitting reply.
Again, getting back on topic... true, we always have to remember that not everyone has an 'l33t' system that can handle the processor requirements that all those pollys are going to take up.
hmm besides the models look good, okay maybe the marine shows a bit 2 much of his neck, but overall the models look good... They could add something to cover his neck a bit, but details don't come from the model itself alone, give it some nice textures and it loosk far better, just look at the textures used in NS so far, they're incredible...
i realize people have crap comps like mine, but i can run DoD with high quality models turned on and only stutter a teensy bit; they have neato models.

Well sure, I could run most (HL) things just fine on my old 133Mhz PC a couple years ago too... But one thing to remember is that Natural Selection is (from what I gather) being developed on a much more structured and professional mindset then most mods. It seems to me that they are designing this from a development stance much more like that of a professional developer, rather a typical mod team.
That means that they are setting limits, and sticking to them. I personally think a few more details on the models would be great, but it simply isn't going to happen. And I'm fine with that.
by the time this thing is done everyone will have better comps <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
