<div class="IPBDescription">best areas of each map</div>Its probably stupid idea, but has anyone ever thought about taking the best areas of each map and mashing it together to create a best of collection map?

Best what? Best looking, Best balanced, Best???
How can you be sure that those areas are any good, maybe it's the areas around them that cause them to be so good.
In general, taking the best bits normally amounts to something that looks pretty but doesn't have much deeper substance. Probably not going to be an effective use of time...

Would be funny as a combat map at least.
Personally would like to see Generator, Cave, Crevice and Courtyard all on one map. I hate defending them all, but I like how they look.
