You should do an histogram for the game lengths instead of a pie chart though.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Why is histogram of game lengths interesting to you? What kind of things would you expect to make a difference in the histogram? Only thing i can think of is that it would be interesting to see how the game length varies on different builds, but that is easy to see with the upcoming filtering system.

We will add some more general statistics too. I find the individual commander stats quite interesting too though.

The pie chart for game length is just difficult to compare each result. A bar graph would be easier to read. Pie charts are better for stats with only 2 results.
Yes, you also want to look at the game length distribution, see what kind of shape it has, if it has a long tail or is multimodal, etc. Times are also ordered (10min < 20 min < 30 min) while say maps are not, it makes much more sense to display ordered data on a line.
<!--quoteo(post=1965469:date=Aug 21 2012, 01:55 PM:name=Wilson)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Wilson @ Aug 21 2012, 01:55 PM) <a href="index.php?act=findpost&pid=1965469"><{POST_SNAPBACK}></a></div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->The pie chart for game length is just difficult to compare each result. Have to agree with this, all those pie charts with tiny slices are quite annoying to read imho.
EDIT: Also found a bug. If you have a really long name the round stats chart gets quite broken, clipping all the way into the other teams chart.
Does this have any kind of API? it would be very useful if server operators could grab the data back to make mods for their servers, like give badges to good commanders, or implementing some kind of team auto-balancing.

The mod works by communicating with the web server through an API using JSON. Currently the API does not have very rich functionality so it's hardly any use. We can extend the API quite easily, it's not a priority though. Feel free to give us ideas what you would like to see in the API.
I think it would be pretty handy if a game server could ask for player stats by STEAM_ID. I think win/loss for marines / aliens as both a player and as a commander and total number of games played are the most interesting stats to retrieve at the moment.

The game length distribution pie chart has now been changed to histogram which makes it much more readable. Also fixed a bug that caused some of the rounds not to be saved to the system.

Quickly skimmed through the thread, couldn't find anything about this so I'd thought I would post this here. If it is already mentioned I do apologise..
I have played 1 round on a stats server, I logged in to the website today, and I notice it shows I had one death, when I finished that match with 1 kill and 0 deaths, as I was alien commander, and my whip rush destroyed the base and one of my whips killed the marine comm after he was ejected.
I was still in the comm chair at the end of the game and I left during map change. Your charts show I spent 100% of my time as commander, although I was a skulk for about 1.5secs...
Edit --- ignore that, I must have had a single life at the end of the previous round where I died as a marine :P
A signature for anyone who wants to help us pimp the site :>
put this as your signature: <!--c1--><div class='codetop'>CODE</div><div class='codemain'><!--ec1--><!--c2--></div><!--ec2-->
and it will look like this vvvvv and link to the site :)
I really like this. I could care less about K/D, but the commander info is fantastic. It's probably the way that I tend to focus on losses more than wins because I feel like I lose a lot more than I do as comm/khamm. Very useful to break your own gameplay down too. Wasn't shocked that I've gone Crag 100% of the time lol
time played for alien commander seems bugged again, marine commander time seems fine though.

fancy stuff :)
personally, i'll exchange <a href="http://ns2stats.org/" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org/</a> with www.ns2stats.org/player/player/<myplayerid> to directly link to my stats. i think if people click on it, they instantly know what the site is about and are likely to browse it a bit if they don't know it yet.

In the future we will also create signature images that include your stats directly in the image. That has to wait for now though.

There can be various reasons for this. If you tell me which server were you playing and what time did the match finish give me a link to your profile in ns2stats and I'll fix it.

Commander metrics are very imporant to me and we will add lot of cool stuff for commanders. Currently we are working on build and research orders and everything else related to buildings and research. I think we'll move into medpacks, nano shields, etc. after that.
Epic work on this! Please do include an ELO rating, if only as a seperate system to see how accurate it would be. I actually did this for my NS1 server but sadly nobody plays NS1 anymore...

I'd like everyone, especially server owners to know that we are releasing an update for our lua mod in an hour or so. All server owners should probably download it for their own sake :> It mainly includes an upgrade and structure system with what we can keep track on those build orders and structure kills and so on :> PLUS 0.26 isn't working on 217 so we are updating 0.27 to be compatible with the newest patch :>
Anyways it'll be up soon <a href="http://ns2stats.org/server/admin" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org/server/admin</a> here and its version number will be 0.27. If anyone has problems updating/installing it or anything unexpected happens you can contact me from steam ( <a href="http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197961466749/" target="_blank">http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197961466749/</a> ) or join us at IRC #ns2stats @ Quakenet :>

OK IT*S OUT: <a href="http://ns2stats.org/downloads/ns2stats_v0.27.zip" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org/downloads/ns2stats_v0.27.zip</a> !!!
Everything should be compatible with 217, sorry for an hour delay. Hf :>
And don't forget to even update your RBPSconfig.lua, some changes has been made in there too. Just remember to put your serverkeys back again which you can get here: <a href="http://ns2stats.org/server/admin" target="_blank">http://ns2stats.org/server/admin</a>

Yeah there shouldn't be any problem with the site nor the mod. It looks like server admins just have not installed the new version of the mod. Je suis le sad aussi. :(
I hope we will see servers continue using the mod today when admins wake up from their post patch gaming mania. :)

Also, it's so funny seeing people argue what stats should and shouldn't be displayed :P Stats are stats, people!
