so.. this is more of a be neat to see later down the road kindda thing..
like say a fade swipes a marine and based off where it hit and if said hit was the last bit to kill the marine his head,arm,leg would pop off...
same with a grenade busting off in on a skulk... or whatever
just think it would add another little element of destruction...
it's prbably been said before, but
just a thought

    Been talket about before i think, devs decided that they werent going for the gore-approach, so gibbing wont make it into the game.

    Fenir, no games have nearly enough gore as they should now with the progression of videogame violence in the past decades. The only game I can think of that is legit gory is left 4 dead 2.

    I don't understand why developers like EA and etc steer away from adding gore to their games... it's so frickin awesome having it.


    Think of mortal kombat growing up... that game would have SUCKED without gore... and NS2 would be a lot more awesome with it as well. Hopefully mods?

    Hopefully someone will make a mod for this. A Fade slashing with 1 metre claw machetes should fill a room with blood, not a crumpled beanie baby ragdoll!

    To their credit UW improved the ragdoll so it doesn't just fall down on the spot, and they added a kinda cartoony blood splash effect.

    At this point I'd be happy with blood decals on the floor.

    It would be pretty cool to see blood smears on the floor in an area the fade just went through

    We'll probably get blood decals around the same time as bullet hole decals, as they help with hit confirmation.

    Mod it guys, you got the code, take a ten minute lua YouTube lesson, relink the textures to new files adjust the time they last before fading away, add a timer for fading opacity transparency. Open a editor, I'd suggest convert files to maya it's more user friendly to newbs in most cases and break the models down to limbs re stich, convert back to smax, give each limb rag doll on hit reg. Adjust the timer on body's fading out.

    It's a bit more complex than that but not by much.

    Fun example of the dark side and ease of lua

    On hit add "bleed effect", start timer, duration (00:01:00);
    if timer, start random counter (00:00:03)-(00:00:10); then spawn "blood decal" ("xxxx.xxx");
    at "player" location; if "bleed effect", reaches (00:00:00); end "blood decal":

    Else
    Continue as normal:\\\

    Except it will look all weird in lua like this
    GTFO+,,,.~<=timer*(1)pie;Â¥*>(3-10)render"xxxxx"^playerLOL!!1!

    Lua condensing a phone directory of java into a single paragraph one super computer data base at a time.
