Mouse lock bug since last update

since the last update, as soon as I enter a screen where i need the mouse (marine equipment, alien evolve or chat) my mouse stays in "look mode".

In chat mode the game also stops responding to all key presses except opening the console (which allows me to speak, for example)

Can somebody please help me?

The game worked fine for a lot of time and now suddenly it's completely unplayable.

I can't mutate. Clicking B shows the mutation screen but i've got no mouse pointer.

I can't select a weapon. Clicking E on the armoury showsd the weapon window, but no mouse pointer.

I can't chat: the chat button locks any further command.

Verify your NS2 Steam Cache. If that doesn't work, delete and re-download NS2 from steam.

Same error here too.
Will try fix and report back.

I am running vanilla + the menu mod. Perhaps it is a compatibility thing.

Sure enough, 12 files failed to verify and were reacquired! Good call Obraxis, thanks.

Even with the 12 files fixed my chat still bugs-out, when launched from the menu mod. However, chat and buy/evolve work correctly with the normal launcher. I'll go check to see if there is an update for the menu-mod.

This looks like a previously known bug... we both missed the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=118124&hl=" target="_blank">forum post</a>... Opps.
Re-Download the <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=113246&st=0=" target="_blank">updated menu-mod</a>.

Always always run vanilla if you have a problem, no MODs, to see if it is a problem with the MOD.
Often [90%]a new patch bugs out the mods.
