Server Installation Linux

Hi guys,

i hope someone of you have the time to say me exactly how to install a Natural Selection 2 Server on a Linux Debian system.

i have the user and the ns2 files and screen but not more, no wine (dont know what this is) nothing

    There is no Linux server right now. It is in development, but not for a while yet. I would recommend you try a windows server for now.

    i know there is now linux server files now but when? i tryed the windows server on a i7 2600k 8gb ram with 100mbit down/up but it dont runs great

    Like Obby said, it is planned, there is no release date on the Linux server. May I ask at what OC that i7 is running, currently all the big/good server with ~16-18 players are forced to run at least on 4.5Ghz to run smooth. At stock 3.4Ghz it will indeed lack the brute force to deal with NS2 in it's current state.


    Also for a game server, you might want to try running it without Hyper-Threading. In some cases it only hurts performance...
