    No. No one on the server can use spaces.

    Works fine on a LAN game and on a server for me, but I never use mods.

    Chat works in the build we released. Most likely this is caused by an incompatibility with a server side mod.

    This seems to be a problem with Overmind or some other mod. Vanilla servers txt chat works fine.

    Using any overmind commands seems to immediately crash me.

    This will need to be fixed by the creator of the overmind mod. In the mean time server operators can just disable overmind by removing -game NS2GmOvrmind from their command line.
