Non-forced ironsights that improve stability and accuracy when used

    It's not about it being a modern military shooter its about it making more sense, why would the marines never ever aim their gun, there are definitely times in the game where you would benefit from realistically aiming and it would just make the experience more authentic and appealing in an imaginative sense, just make it somewhat of a secondary firing mode, maybe the stabilization of the gun allows the bullets better penetration and thus doing more damage.

    It's not about realism, but gameplay. The guns are accurate enough and do enough damage as it is already, to make ironsights worth it you would need to make the standard firing mode worse. Ironsights are slow as well and restrict movement, it just doesn't fit with the way this game and the marine's enemies are designed.


    Plus as others have said the marines ARE aiming their gun with a virtual hud that their helmet projects for them, analogue sights in this future world are an archaic inefficient design.

    The crosshair is so static though, they should make it bobbing a little bit as if your arms are wavering a little bit to give the effect its being projected to where your gun is aimed.

    Because the marines only have one gun that actually benefits from aiming, and they shoot it with near 100% accuracy without aiming it, so why would you need to aim it?

    or maybe have like 4 dots near the main crosshair that slightly move with the gun but the main crosshair is static

    One of the main reasons why I did quit playing BF 3 after 40 hours because it tried to be too realistic but still faaaaar away from it. Also didnt like the gameplay, summa summarum, keep it simple.

    I would personally dislike NS2 if they would try to make it more realistic, there is too much "realistic" games so I dont really need a reason to make this one also. Myself I dont even need a reason to have ironsights or any kind of sights, only reason would be to spot sniping Lerks on walls. More imagination and better it gets, more realistic and more boring it gets. Also it just wouldnt fit in the concept and gameplay. NS2 is my last hope for the real PC FPS's genre. If it will fail I probably quit playing FPS games on PC unless someone will try to make a game without thinking only money. Why do people actually would want to have sights? Maps are small and I havent any problem to spot even non-moving skulks on walls "far" away.

    For me I guess the next best thing would be making the crosshair actually appear to be projected, or at least linked to the gun
