Fallen comrades

How about interacting with our fallen comrades? Would it be possible to take mines and ammo from the dead? That sounds reasonable, does it? And what about aliens regaining some health by eating the dead aliens and marines?

Dont know, how it would affect balance, but i think, that the game should be as realistic as it gets.

What do you think?

I think picking up ammo, will be added at somepoint as it was on NS1 (including mines). I dont like the idea of regaining hp trough eating other aliens. ITS OUR CUTE GORGES JOB to keep them in good condition (;

i would like to see such function regarding a bit more realism. it does not have to affect balance that much. let it be 10 hp or something like that, as a small regeneration like effect.

I hope we get a whole bunch of sound samples for our voice commands to vote for!

Games are not supposed to be realistic, and they are never completely realistic even when they try to be.
Lets not have that discussion about realism again. :)
As others have said, picking up ammo and mines will most likely be put in the game at some point.
I don't like the idea about aliens getting HP back after killing marines(frenzy anyone?).
In my opinion the ability to do so is overpowered. As you can stay in combat for much much longer as fade(or onos for that sake).
Frenzy is making the fades too powerful, we have Metabolize coming and regeneration is already available.
That is exactly what the Frenzy does, it should be changed to be a skulk-only upgrade.
Maybe have the skulks bite somewhere between 1-3 times on a dead body to get the Frenzy reward, that way it will only prevent the need for healing after a combat, not during a combat like it is now.

Heh I once had a problem with 2 skulks attacking me and another marine. I noticed the other marine didn't have time to pull the trigger and I shot down one Skulk, I immediately picked up the other marine's rifle and continued to luckily take out the second alien as well. To bad for me there was a third alien incoming that took me out :(

But it is a valid tactic and ammo pick up is kinda already in, if you count this :P

No! Being able to pick up dropped weapons is enough.

A failed rush should have consequences.

I'd say this fits the bill for marines. I regularly pick up other marine weapons (even LMGs) to see and keep if they have more ammo.
