<div class="IPBDescription">"The engine is in a state from which it can't recover"</div>Hey guys,
yesterday I reinstalled my Windows 7 x64, includin Steam and of course NS2. Today I saw patch 188 has been released so I tried to run it after downloading the patch and installing the latest DirectX and PhysX package. Unfortunately after double-clicking the .exe the game will start for a few seconds and then crash into an error.
"The engine is in a state from which it can't recover." says the message box.
I've already submitted 3 or 4 error reports via the debug window, trying closing some of my opened applications etc, but nothing helped so far. The whole %appdata% folder has been already deleted a few times, the latest AMD driver is installed ( 11.11a, which is newer than 11.11 ) but nothing helps.
So now I'm here seeking for some technical help :)
I've created a package including a DxDiag, a MsInfo32 and the log.txt, which can be downloaded from <a href="http://www.blackcorestudios.de/NS2.zip" target="_blank">http://www.blackcorestudios.de/NS2.zip</a> - unfortunately I was unable to find the minidump.dmp. For those who don't want to download my infopackage, here's a list of my computer:
Intel Core i7 860
GIGABYTE P55A-UD4 Rev 1.0 Bios F14
8GB Kingston 1333MHz
AMD Radeon HD5870 Vapor-X
ATi Catalyst Control Center 11.11a
Windows 7 x86-64
Maybe someone got an idea :)
Happy thanksgiving :)

*Edit: You can find it in users/<username>/appdata/roaming/Natural Selection 2/
Thanks buddy!
I can even now start it in fullscreen too, but I'm using 3 monitors, so I'll use windowed mode :) Some windowed fullscreen would be awesome in my case *__*
See you on the battlefields :)
That may be the reason, depending on how that is set up.
This: <a href="http://grismar.net/shiftwindow/" target="_blank">http://grismar.net/shiftwindow/</a>
It allows you to force move windows, such that you can get the same effect as Source's windowed noborder mode.
I can load my own listenserver up fine. Anyone know whats going on?

Did you try looking at the console for any errors?
