It was a superhuman effort to get it done by today. Props to UWE for staying late nights in the office and Uber < 6AM early mornings and thanks to the Playtesters for many PTs and late nights.
The new HUD is much more polished and cool and awesome than I expected, though still a little hokey (feels too large somehow). Server I played on had tickrate down below 10 and my own framerate sucked so I couldn't see or shoot very well, but it was somehow a lot of fun despite that!

Tried the onos but it didn't have a visible model (cool footstep sounds though).
There aren't many new features it seems, most of it are improvements to visuals and performance. Marine have that Nano Shield ability which is really nice, can't wait to see it in a real game. Haven't found anything new for the aliens, I haven't tried them much though. The new HUD for the marines looks really good imo :)
love the new flamer thrower less visual blocking and you can now burn the environment leaving flames around (you can also stand in the flames and kill yourself lol)
arcs/macs don't stack anymore (they still have quite small boxes so can still bunch up abit)
macs can lay mines... playing in single player so duno how effective they are
and wow... the new 'power socket' idea basically means all power nodes are 'off' by default and now the marines have to go 'repair' each one before they can build extractors etc :o
Improved Marine sprinting (does not block any other activity) - (Btw tested can't shoot while sprinting but can axe while sprintinglol ) Marine rifle fire sped up to be similar to NS1. Skulks, watch out. Attacking with the rifle will not cancel reloading anymore

There's a a lot of errors on the console. Also, the rifle sound doesn't play if you start firing right after reloading.
