    yep getting more and more like ent mod but at least it has an interface like gmod does this is turning out to be an amazing tool. cannot wait to see what else you add to it. im sure the devs are happy that you are doing this also.!!!

    all i gotta say is if you had some admin commands and a login system with permissions you could really make some nice game modes. server admins could run this stuff and let everyone play in the environment they create.

    question can someone join a server running this without using the radiance client and still see the changes being made? just cannot control anything?

    if not that should be something you should think of so people can play custom situations.

    im sure others would agree having scenarios that can be loaded and played would be awesome.

    Because of the nature of the game engine, the Radiance client is required to view changes to entities such as lights and props.

    As of right now, the built in <i>scenload</i> and <i>nsr_scene</i> commands allow for basic scenarios. I've considered adding a full-feature scenario system as a standalone mod, but that would take too much time for too little benefit so it's not a priority of mine right now.

    cool maby a dev can help you with that also would like to see dev comments on your tool and if they are using it how much easier it makes stuff?

    as im sure it helps community mappers alot. just looking at the pictures makes me drool. i need to run this some time just to mess with it.

    when file downloads get put in it would be nice to have a system like the skybox loading where it can just be instantly changed out and replaced while playing.

    that way all anyone would have to do to see the changes to the map would be to rejoin the server after loading a pre set in your tool. if something similar could be made. it would be instantly easy to load different game modes with out restarting the server im sure someone could come up with something to compliment your tool to do this after the dloads happen. im just trying to say that your tool opens up a whole lot of possabilitys on how we can modify the game during game play or with just a simple reload/rejoin of the server.

    Is it possible to have the editor running at the same time as this, to be able to hotload any changes you make and quickly see them in-game? I know the point of radiance is that you can edit stuff while in-game but I frequently make changes to geometry in the editor and then want to playtest it quickly. It would be awesome if I could just have the game minimized, and then pull it up when I want to test the level.

    Right now it's possible to hot load light_point, light_spot, ambient_sound and cinematic but changes to any other entity or geometry will not be updated. To hot load, make the changes in the editor, save, and then rerun the nsr_map command in ns2.

    This build contains the fix that would prevent entities from being created on the map. You only need to download this build if you are experiencing that problem as there are no other changes.

    does this have the ability to change textures on faces or is that something you are think about down the road?
    or even the ability to remove faces?

    or are those something that may take a longtime before you can get in that much detail on controll over the map?

    then again ent mod couldent do that either.

    Would be cool if one could also tweak ambient lights ingame... is onos still here? Havent heard anything in forums for weeks maybe even months...

    Radiance now supports ambient lights and has a hsv editor.

    DuplicateFinder locates entities that have been duplicate (such as the tech point in ns2_docking) and adds the duplicated entities to a new layer.

    Any ideas why Radiance crashes the moment I try and extract the entities within Rebuilder.exe? I have the right version of .net. Any other requirements I might be missing?

    I have tried several times now and no luck :(

    It's probably quite out of date unfortunately. We'll have to wait for Onos Ate Me to update it.
