The thing is for some of us the wait between updates seems a lot longer if you're only interested in trying out new stuff, not all updates are worth a look, many of you might think otherwise and see every update as a something to get excited about so for you the wait maybe be between a few weeks and a month or so, for others it's more like once every 3 to 4 months and that's if we're lucky, i haven't seen anything noteworthy for a very long time now which is why i've lost a lot of interest.

and mineshaft! i hope one of the engine programmers will find the time to add support for changing maps until 188 :D
do like me, enter in this site/forum once a week and on ns2 once a month... OK i lied, i dont remeber the last time i enterted on NS2, i regret buying it? No, 30 bucks is a hangout on Outback here on Brazil so really dont feel the weight... i dont have time to participate or contribute on this game so i forget about it hopping some day when i remember that i have steam installed it will have a final ns 2 build to play kkk cheeeers
If you like the game concept and the direction it is taking then just swing by when it tickles your interest.
I work in software so watching this product develop and the team gel is very entertaining to me. they continue to refine their processes so momentum keeps building.
I would suggest that you keep an eye on the twitter feed or the news page so you know when the big patches come out (psst one is coming) and also hold out for the following mini-patch which usually cleans up some issues that crop up from larger changes.
I heard an amazing comment today that was rather amusing... <i> "I would rather crawl around in the grass in BF3 for 2 hours then play NS2 right now"</i>

It was designed for a game mode that never materialised, to test core combat gameplay elements. Then it was used to test various engine/editor features.

I recently went in tram and all the layout changes sent my head for a spin, and then I crashed.
