<div class="IPBDescription">More useful.</div>Years ago I suggested this in the idea and suggestions page wanting it as a secondry attack for parasite called paranoia. I thought I might drop this idea here in the hopes someone with the skills might like it enough to make it. Either way I don't have the skills to create this but if anyone likes the idea please feel free to make it

Works much the same as parasite adding an audio element to parasite instead of the visual.
When a marine is parasited with paranoia they hears random aliens sounds like skulks feet tapping, a chuckle, A fade teleport or any number of the sounds that the aliens can make.

Thought it would make parasite a more effective weapon making marines more edgy. especially if infected with paranoia alone.
Slowing down marines and making them look more carefully and having them spin wildly around searching for the source of sounds or it might
make a 1 man ambush more effective.

Healed the same way as parasite with a med pack.

    That is a nice Idea. Since the audio disturb is already implemented so it could be a upgrade from the shade.
    But make paranoia medable and the parasite not (cause parasite is like a GPS tracker).

    Nextte post it on I&S instead of Modding.

    This would certainly give the average player more of a reason to get rid of a parasite. Maybe this could have a place as an evolveable upgrade at tier 2 (hive 2).

    I'll have to give it more thought later, head hurts, damn ears are ringing...... Did someone chuckle?

    I agree it shouldn't be immediately available. I like the idea of it as a upgrade from the shade as they are phantom sounds and would seem to fit best into the upgrade tree of that chamber.

    Everyone loves options.

    Also I find losing ablities is very annoying when tied to hives eg: losing leap frustrates me to no end. my teams losing already, crippling us further is not fun. But if they get all the chambers fair enough.

    The shade currently does this already when you are near it. Not sure it would be good to have parasite have it as well. Maybe an audio cue the aliens could hear as well as see?
