Genuinely curious. What do you guys think of the tweet from Savage 2?

Isn't this anti competitive? I can see how it would probably annoy them and that it would be the gentlemanly thing to do to remove the tag, but restricting your players from seeing videos of similar games (in your same market sphere) on youtube feels pretty wrong to me. I mean its youtube. Objectively speaking, let players decide how they want to spend their own free time right? Let the best game win right?
Having savage2 tags on ns2 vids should also have the reverse effect of exposing ns2 players to savage 2 so i personally don't see the problem..

So when someone searches for Savage 2, or are watching a Savage 2 video and are clicking through the sidebar for more videos... there's a chance they'll get to Hugh's videos. It's kinda like search engine optimisation.
It's not dirty... just pragmatic. Even if it is anti-competitive of them to make the request, it would be the gentlemanly thing to do to remove the tags, since they have (for the moment) been polite about it themselves.
Ironically, though, anyone who follows Savage 2 on twitter is now aware of NS2HD...
Actually, I'm wondering whether S2Games will make another game after HoN... I mean it's not the most healthy playerbase atm, but when Dota2 officially launches... it's gonna take a hit.

Next to the Gorilla release, the 190 update makes it a lot more playable with the optimization that was done to it. There is a huge noticeable difference between 189 and 190. Marines also have a decent chance at winning games and Aliens will have to be more alert than usual.
Also: I'd rather have a working and non-glitchy Onos/JP than a completely broken one. :)

it's beta... pretty much everything is still glitchy... but completely broken would be pointless to release.

And a lot of other fixes and improvements that you'll be able to read about in the changelog.
The gameplay mechanics in NS2 took a sucker punch in 188, here's hoping they've either reversed it, or made it at least as good as the old system in 190!
Also great news that UWE is acknowledging, and starting to really focus on addressing the crippling FPS issues!
I also heard in 190, all the playtesters are getting the black armor I pre-ordered and paid extra for. Something I had assumed would only be available to the fans that paid for, and deserve it. A little pissed how this exclusive item is now being handed out like candy.

I don't know if this is true but even if it is so what? these guys work very hard to test and find those bugs and they don't get paid so I say nice of UWE to atleast give them that.
